New brochure for sustainable event planning

Messe Stuttgart to present a new sustainability brochure at IMEX 2023 / Sustainability remains a central concern of the company

It is already a good tradition: Messe Stuttgart will take part in IMEX in Frankfurt in 2023 again and will be represented on a joint stand with a total of eight partners at the world's largest trade fair for the event industry from 23 to 25 May 2023. During IMEX, trade fair and event planners will be able to obtain information about the event possibilities at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center and the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart.

Right on time for the industry meeting in Frankfurt, Messe Stuttgart is publishing its updated brochure for sustainable event planning. This brochure will help organisers make their trade fairs and events more environmentally-friendly and more sustainable. The brochure contains valuable tips and recommendations on how to avoid waste, save energy and make use of environmentally-friendly materials. "As a trade fair organiser, we have a great responsibility towards the environment and future generations," said Stefan Lohnert, President of Messe Stuttgart. "We have actively supported sustainability and environmental protection for many years, and want to share our experiences and knowledge. We are convinced that sustainability and economic success can go hand in hand. We hope that our updated brochure will make a contribution towards the promotion of a sustainable event industry."

The topic of sustainable mobility is also featured in the brochure. It is now possible to travel to Messe Stuttgart by urban railway (S-Bahn) and, since December 2021, with the U6 tram line. The opening of the long-distance train station as part of the S21 rail project will be another milestone. "With effect from 2025, the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre will then also be easily accessible from every major European city. The event ticket of Deutsche Bahn (German Railways) is also CO2-neutral," added Lohnert. In addition, pedelecs and bikes for short distances are available for hire at the RegioRadStuttgart station which is located at the Entrance West of Messe Stuttgart.
